Rayneika believes affordability starts with fairness, including closing corporate tax loopholes so working families are not left carrying the burden. She supports smart, value-driven state budgets that invest in people, strengthen communities, and promote long-term stability.
Quality of Life and Public Safety
Rayneika believes public safety requires strong accountability and clear expectations. She is committed to clean, safe neighborhoods, responsive municipal services, and holding systems and individuals accountable so residents can feel secure where they live. At the same time, she supports second chances rooted in responsibility and opportunity, ensuring community safety is strengthened while people who do the work to rebuild can move forward.
Housing Stability and Affordability
Housing stability is deeply personal for Rayneika. Having experienced homelessness firsthand, she understands how devastating housing insecurity can be and how it impacts every part of a person's life. That lived experience fuels her commitment to protecting long-term residents, preventing displacement, and ensuring communities are not pushed out for profit. Rayneika believes safe, high-quality, and affordable housing should be a foundation for every neighborhood, not a privilege for a few. She is committed to centering residents' voices, strengthening accountability, and expanding housing options so families can remain in the communities they have built with stability and dignity.

For Rayneika, affordability starts with fairness. She believes working families should not bear the financial burden while large corporations exploit tax loopholes to avoid paying their fair share. When corporations benefit from public services and infrastructure, they should contribute equitably to the systems that support our communities. Rayneika supports tax reform that restores balance and accountability and ensures state budgets reflect shared values. She believes responsible, people-centered spending strengthens communities, reduces financial strain on families, and builds long-term economic stability for future generations.

Drawing on years of frontline experience in adult and juvenile probation, she understands that public safety depends on accountability, reliable infrastructure, and systems that respond quickly and effectively to community needs. She is committed to strengthening municipal services, improving infrastructure, and holding systems accountable so neighborhoods are clean, safe, and respected. For Rayneika, real public safety means clear standards, consistent enforcement, and investments that ensure communities are protected while remaining strong, stable, and livable.

Economic Opportunity and Workforce Pathways
A strong community depends on stable, family sustaining careers and thriving local businesses. Rayneika is committed to growing small, minority owned, and women owned businesses while expanding job training and pathways into good paying union jobs and standing with unions so workers are safe, fairly paid, and respected. Rayneika championed the Davis Martinez Act in honor of a coworker who was tragically murdered on the job, fighting to ensure all public service workers in Maryland have safer workplaces and stronger protections. She believes no one should lose their life simply for doing their job, and that worker safety, fair pay, and accountability go hand in hand with a strong local economy. When workers are protected and local businesses succeed, our entire community thrives.
Youth, Education, and Long-Term Stability
Education is deeply personal for Rayneika. Growing up with a learning disability, she understands firsthand that students succeed when they are supported as individuals and given the resources they need to thrive. That experience drives her commitment to inclusive education, early intervention, and youth enrichment programs that recognize different learning styles and build confidence. Rayneika also believes supporting students means supporting educators and school staff. She is committed to strengthening schools, expanding opportunities, and ensuring classrooms are places where every child and educator can grow and succeed.

Grounded in her experience in public service, labor advocacy, and community work, Rayneika understands that trust is built through honesty, consistency, and partnership with the people most impacted by decisions, which is why she is committed to transparent, accessible governance in District 6 that prioritizes open communication, responsive constituent services, and meaningful opportunities for community input.
